Vertex Recruiting was founded by a career Aerospace Engineering Leader who spent his career in NPD/NPI on commercial and military aircraft platforms.  During this time, a significant foundation of integrity, customer support, and willingness to do the right thing for the team and program was developed and ingrained.  These values have carried forward to Vertex Recruiting.  We work to build long term relationships, help to ensure our client’s success by delivering the right talent, and a consultative resource for mutual success in business.

What We Do

We listen to our clients to understand their needs, their strategic perspective and position requirements that are critical to them.  We work to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page for the attributes they are looking for in a candidate. We pay specific attention not only to technical details, but also what they see as key personality traits that have fit well in their culture and work well with their team.  We ask questions and offer input to make sure we dial in the preferred candidate profile.  Utilizing our sourcing tools, we research candidates to determine interest, help them to understand the benefits of the role and the company, then move forward the candidates that most closely align with client preferences.

We have built Vertex Recruiting by providing quality submittals and giving our clients what they want on a regular basis.  We have controls in place to ensure that you are not burdened with submittals of non-qualified candidates, or candidates that do not meet your requirements.

Dan O'Connor | President

Daniel (Dan) O’Connor is a career Aerospace professional with over 30 years of experience in Engineering, Engineering Management, Program Management and Business Development. He has worked for large and small companies that include Boeing Defense and Commercial Aircraft, General Dynamics, Lockheed and D3 Technologies/LMI Aerospace. While at D3/LMI, Dan built, staffed and managed the Southeast Division in Greenville, SC. During his tenure there as Director of Operations and Engineering, he procured and/or managed the support of new aircraft development programs with Lockheed, Boeing, Airbus, Honda Jet, Spirit Aerospace, Triumph and many more. During this time, Dan has been active in support of the Upstate Aviation Cluster in efforts to stimulate aerospace growth in South Carolina and is an active member of the South Carolina Aerospace Advisory Board since 2015.

After his LMI division was closed, in 2016, Dan started his recruiting practice teaming with PinPoint Solutions and Westport International which helped him to learn the field of professional and executive recruiting. In 2018 he established Vertex Recruiting llc focusing on partnering with clients and candidates in South Carolina, and across the US, where we help clients and candidates to achieve their goals.
