Engineering Approach to Recruiting

An Engineering Approach to Recruiting

In my previous career in aircraft engineering, a dedicated approach to solutions in the development and production support of Aircraft was ingrained.  It was important to have a solid understanding of requirements, as well as stakeholder needs/constraints and a method to integrate them all to come up with the best solution to accomplish goals.  The primary concept  learned early on and solidified over time is that if you don’t have a solid process to accomplish your goals and track requirements/changes, you can lose focus, miss schedules and develop products that don’t meet requirements.

Through an engineering approach to recruiting, these same process-oriented skills are utilized in my recruiting practice to help ensure understanding of my client’s needs and that submitted candidate’s meet the clients’ requirements.  Additionally, I strive to understand candidate’s overall goals above and beyond the current search to help them succeed and accomplish goals in their careers over time.
